Set Up IPTV On Windows PC
For Windows 10 and Windows 11 desktops and laptops. Install MyIPTV Player from the Microsoft Store and sign in with the login from your IPTVV email.

Setting up IPTV on a Windows PC takes about 5 minutes: install MyIPTV Player from the Microsoft Store and sign in with the login from your IPTV Canada welcome email. An IPTV free trial login works exactly the same way.
1. How IPTV Works On Windows
IPTV on Windows is a player app that streams your channels over the internet with your IPTVV login, on a desktop or laptop screen or on a TV plugged into it over HDMI. MyIPTV Player is a free Microsoft Store app, so there’s nothing to download from a website and nothing to configure beyond your login.
2. What You Need Before You Start
You need your IPTVV login, a Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC and about 5 minutes.
- Your IPTVV login: the server URL (it starts with
http://), username and password from your welcome email. - A Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC signed in to the Microsoft Store.
- An internet connection of at least 10 Mbps for HD, 15 to 20 Mbps for Full HD and 25 Mbps or more for 4K.
3. Which Player To Use
MyIPTV Player is the player to use on Windows: it’s free from the Microsoft Store and takes your Xtream Codes login directly. IPTV Smarters Pro has a Windows version too, if you already know it from your phone or TV.
| Player | Price | Where to get it |
|---|---|---|
| MyIPTV Player (recommended) | Free | Microsoft Store |
| IPTV Smarters Pro | Free | The app maker’s website (whmcssmarters.com) |
If a Go Ad free window appears while you use it, click Cancel: the app keeps working.
4. Install MyIPTV Player
Install MyIPTV Player from the Microsoft Store, and only from there.
- Open the Microsoft Store from the Start menu.
- Search MyIPTV Player and click Get (or Install).
- Open MyIPTV Player.
IPTV Smarters Pro instead? Download the Windows version from the app maker’s website (whmcssmarters.com), run the installer and open the app. If Windows SmartScreen asks, choose More info, then Run anyway.
5. Add Your IPTVV Login
Your login is an Xtream Codes login: add it under the app’s Xtream Code section with the four boxes below. Capitals count, and there must be no space before or after.
- Click Settings at the top, then Add new playlist and EPG source.
- Under Xtream Code, fill in the four boxes:
- Source name: any name, for example IPTVV;
- Source URL: your server URL (starts with
http://); - User id: your username;
- Password: your password.
- Click Add Xtream source.
IPTV Smarters Pro
- Accept the terms, then click Login with Xtream Codes API.
- Enter any name, your username, your password and the server URL, then click Add User.
- Wait while the channels load, then open Live TV.
6. Load Your Channels, TV Guide And Favourites
Select your playlist and click Refresh, and the channels and TV guide load together.
- Click the back arrow at the top left. Under Select channel playlist, choose Xtream : IPTVV (or the name you picked), then click Refresh.
- Click Channels at the top and use Groups to pick a category.
- Click a channel to watch; the guide shows what’s on now and next.
- Right-click the channels you watch most to add them to favourites, and use the search box for movies and series rather than scrolling.
7. If MyIPTV Player Won’t Install
If the Microsoft Store won’t install MyIPTV Player, a desktop media player that opens a playlist link is the fallback, and so is another device in the same room. Your options:
- A desktop player that opens an M3U playlist (VLC media player, for example). Our logins are Xtream Codes; contact support and we’ll tell you how to get the playlist link for your account.
- Your phone or tablet: iMPlayer (iPhone, iPad) or XCIPTV (Android) with the same login.
- A Fire TV Stick or Google TV device on the TV, if the PC was only a stopgap; follow its guide.
8. Best Picture And Watching On More Than One Screen
Give the PC at least 10 Mbps for HD, 15 to 20 Mbps for Full HD and 25 Mbps or more for 4K. For the steadiest stream:
- A wired Ethernet connection gives the steadiest picture on a PC; on Wi-Fi, use the 5 GHz band.
- Close other downloads, cloud backups and streams while you watch.
- To watch on the TV, plug the PC in over HDMI and press Windows + P to duplicate or extend the display.
- Each screen watching at the same time counts as one connection, so pick a plan with enough screens for your home on the IPTV Subscription page.
9. Troubleshooting, Performance And Privacy
The fix for most buffering is to restart the router first, then the PC, and to use an Ethernet cable. Other quick fixes:
- “Invalid login” or an empty list: check your username and password letter by letter, make sure the server URL starts with
http://, then click Refresh again. - Channels play but the guide is empty: click Refresh on the playlist once more.
- Choppy picture on a laptop: plug the laptop into power; many laptops slow the processor on battery.
- Buffering only in the evening: your internet provider may be slowing video traffic. A VPN app on the PC set to a Canadian server helps; see our VPN for IPTV guide.
- Still stuck? Contact our support team: we answer 24/7 in English or French.
10. Legal And Practical Notes For Canada
IPTV is a legal technology in Canada when it’s used with licensed content, and the Copyright Act applies to what you stream, so the player is never the risk: the source of the channels is. Install players only from the Microsoft Store, skip any download that arrives “pre-loaded” with channels, and keep your login to the screens on your plan. Your IPTVV subscription is paid once in CAD, never renews on its own, and is covered by a 7-day money-back guarantee.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I watch IPTV on a Windows laptop?
Yes. MyIPTV Player runs on any Windows 10 or Windows 11 laptop, and an HDMI cable puts the picture on a TV.
Is MyIPTV Player free?
Yes. It’s a free Microsoft Store app; the Go Ad free offer is optional and the app works when you cancel it.
Do I need a VPN for IPTV on Windows?
No. The service works without one. A VPN helps if your internet provider slows video traffic at peak hours, or for privacy on a shared network, and Windows runs every VPN app.
Conclusion
Your Windows PC is an IPTV screen in about 5 minutes: install MyIPTV Player from the Microsoft Store, add your Xtream Codes login under Settings, select the playlist and click Refresh. Use Ethernet where you can, plug a laptop into power while you watch, and if the app ever misbehaves, your phone or a streaming stick works with the same login. Still stuck on a step?
